The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released summary enrollment data for the insurance marketplace created by the Affordable Care Act (ACA). As of January 9, 2016, there are 81,025 Kansans who have enrolled in health insurance coverage through the Kansas marketplace since open enrollment began on November 1, 2015. KHI has prepared maps that show the number of Kansans, by zip code, who have selected a plan or were automatically re-enrolled for the 2016 coverage year. Information is not yet available on how many of those persons have paid their premium and are actually covered by the insurance plan selected.
